HOW TO FLY IN BUSINESS CLASS FOR LESS

If you have not flew in Business Class then let me tell you this;
You feel very energetic, refreshed, relaxed when you finally arrive at the destination rather trying to rush out of the aircraft for more space when you fly in economy class.
There is a dramatic impact on how you feel, end of the journey and you are looking forward for the next trip.
Any part of the world the Business class tickets are much expensive and its considered Luxury which can be afford by few. Our team at Merry Parking – Meet & Greet Airport Parking have listed, how you can enjoy this luxury at a minimal cost.

DOMESTIC FLIGHTS

untitled-2
If you have not travelled in Business Class ever and want to experience then book your trip to the next state or city with your domestic airline. Rather than taking the train, coach or even traveling by your own vehicle. The domestic flights are cheaper compare to international flight prices and the Business Class tickets are fairly cheaper and affordable.

REDEEM YOUR FLY MILES

untitled-3
If you have used a one airline for all your flights then you would have earned loyalty points which are redeemable. Collect these points and redeem to book Business Class tickets. If the points are not enough then you can pay the balance by cash or credit but the amount you actually spend is much less as you are not paying the whole price.

LUCKY DUCKY

untitled-4
Some airlines upgrade their frequent flyers air tickets if there are availability in the Business Class. For you to benefit on this then you better be the first passenger to check in. If you are flying because of a special occasion such as Honeymoon, Celebrate a birthday, mention these and let your travel agent know so they could pass on this information to your airline.

DISCOUNTED RATES/OFFERS

untitled
Time to time airlines are giving away discounted rates, or members only booking periods. Wait for these promotional emails and plan your trip. If you are benefiting discounted rates and why not book the Business Class. Do not compare the economy class tickets on this as it will remind you how cheap the economy class ticket after the discounted rates. Straight away check the Business class tickets as you are getting a discounted rate.

MIXED CLASS AIR TICKETS

Perhaps you may have not heard of this type of tickets but it exists. If you are taking an international flight which has one or more transits then you can request your airline to give you a mixed class ticket. This way you can fly part of your journey in Business class and the rest in Economy class. You are not paying for the whole flight a higher price and you can choose which part of the journey you can afford to book the Business Class.
Hope these tricks will give the opportunity to book your Business class tickets and help you reduce stress on your next holiday. There are other ways to relax and enjoy your trip. Why not book airport parking and drive to the airport at your leisure. No need to adjust your time as per public transport or beg your neighbour/friend to drop you to the airport. Choose our Airport Parking facilities at below airports.

NEVER DO THESE IN AN AIRPLANE

There are obvious things not to do on a plane or anywhere if you want to be the odd person in the place. Here we put together best practices when you are flying.
1. Sleeping through takeoff or landing
BBmhZZp.img
If you ever flown before then you have experience the air pressure around you changes. Sometimes your ears hurts for a while until the fight lands or once its in the air. If you sleep during this process then you will feel the pain more. What you need to do is adjust the pressure rather than sleep.
You can chew a gum, suck on lollies or even yawn. If not this could lead to an eardrum damage, infection or a slight hearing loss.
2. Sleeping in the flight when its day time at your landing destination
You will find it difficult to adjust to the time zone if you sleep through out the flight. Adjust your watch to match the time in your landing destination as you board the flight. Then match the activities to the time.
3. Walking around barefoot
It feels good to walk around barefoot in the flight and specially if it’s a long one. However its not recommended and if you ask a flight attendant they will tell you not to do so. The carpets are full of leftover food and all kind of garbage.
4. Not having enough liquids
BBmi8I1.img
Your body loses moisture at high altitudes and in side flights as the air is so dry. Drink lot of liquids and do not ever turn down a refill when its offered.
5. Avoid Alcohol
Better avoid alcohol while flying as it will dehydrate you and cam mess with your sleep quality. Also you might have a hangover that makes your journey irritable.
6. Gulping tea and coffee
The tea and coffee made inside the planes cannot be very hygienic. The attendants use the tap water available in the plane. This water contains coliform. For some of you the bacteria can mess with your immune system. Stick to bottle water, fruit juice.
7. Don’t eat food once it falls on your tray
Even though the ground staff cleans the trays, you will never know how well they clean. Transit flights do not get enough time to so it’s always better to leave the food if it falls on the table.

WHAT TO DO IN THE AIRPORT WHILE IN TRANSIT

Ever had to wait hours for your transit flight?  A stopover in an airport can be dull, a nightmare or could be awesome if you plan.
Sometimes the transfer gets delayed more than couple of hours. Sometimes choosing a longer transit time could be a cheaper option when you want to save some money on your air ticket. Don’t let the boredom, frustration take the better of you. Here are few things you can try…

TWO TO FOUR HOURS

  • If you booked a flight with 2 to 4 hour transit or if you know the connecting flight is going to take up to 4 hours then see whether you can spend your time in an Airport lounge. You can catch up on your favourite TV show or your favourite sports channel. All the lounges give you Wi-Fi so browse browse browse. If not catch up on your work. Check your emails, start posting of Facebook, check what’s new in the destination you are flying to, make a do list.
book-airport-lounge-merryparking
  • Some airports have massaging chairs or a massage parlor. Why not kill some time there. Or check for cosmetics duty free shops which gives you free facial, make over. Such promotions are running at these stores when they are introducing a new product. Check which shop offers free trials like this. They also want to get feedback so indulge them.
book-airport-lounge-merryparking

SIX HOURS AND OVER

If the transit is six hours or more… don’t fuss. If you have booked your air ticket with 6 hours transit time then apply for transit visa. You can cover another destination or a city this way. Killing two birds with a one stone.
As soon as your flight lands, don’t waste your time to check the duty free shops. Heads out and take a taxi or a shuttle bus to the nearest town. If you’re lucky, there’ll be a bazaar or music or arts festival going on. Even if there isn’t, you’ll love shopping around, trying out the local produce, and sinking your teeth in the different cuisines.
Hire a bicycle and go on a mini adventure around the city. Its great way to sightsee and get exercise at the same time. But do not get lost or now the limit you can spend because you need to come back to the airport on time to catch your flight.

If you’re going to be around for over 8 hours, then check what sort of an activity you can do in the area. Do a research and plan well.

WHAT IS HEATHROW AIRPORT SHORT & LONG-STAY CAR PARKING?

Are you planning  on flying out of Heathrow Airport? We have a range of airport parking options for you. Depending on the car park you choose who advertise on our web site, it could be meet and greet, park and ride, wash and wax, undercover or outdoor parking.
How do you choose which parking option is right for you, other than the obvious way of choosing the cheapest airport parking product available for your days. Better way to look at this is considering the number of days you are hoping to keep the vehicle in the car park. The two types of parking which fall in to this category is either Short Stay or Long Stay parking.
Were you confused by any operator telling you that the car park is located 6 to 8 miles away? How could be a place be located 6 to 8 miles??? Either its 6 miles away or 8 miles !!
Continue reading the article. You will know the answer to the question and the difference between short-stay airport parking and long-stay airport parking.
Number of Days the Vehicle is Parked
Thats the biggest difference between the two terms as the name suggest. Number of days you will be parking your vehicle at the Heathrow Airport Parking facility.
When you choose the short stay car park, your vehicle is expected to be in the facility for no more than seven days. If it’s the long stay car park then its more than 7 days and people who go for longer holidays choose this option
The Cost to Use a Short or Long Stay Parking Facility
When you are using a car park for a longer period they offer you a discounted price. Therefore long-stay parking is more cheaper compare to short stay car park.
The Distance to the Short or Long Stay Car Park
Generally some car parks have two facilities. Most of the time they have a small facility very close the airport and a bigger one further away. If you are going for less than 7 days your vehicle will be parked most probably in the short stay car park.
We have good news for you ! If you are choosing Merry Parking as your airport parking provider then you get a better price no matter how many days you park the vehicle. Our team constantly negotiate with the car parks to offer affordable rates on both long stay and short stay.
On top of the attractive rates Merry Parking also offers discount coupons, Airport parking promo codes and specials offers. These deals and special offers send to our loyal customers through out our newsletters.
Use the code ABE43 to get £5 through out the year!!
Those in need of either short stay parking or long stay parking should consider using Merry Parking for the better rates and the good service our car parks provide. We have an easy-to-use online booking engine that allows you to quickly and easily book a space at a car parking facility. Contact Merry Parking on 0208 090 1986 to learn more about our short and long stay parking options.

NOT SO USUAL ITEMS YOU DIDN’T KNOW WERE BANNED IN THE AIRPORTS

We all aware that we cannot carry more than 100 ml of liquid products to any airport. The security personnel will ask you to take it our and leave behind. Other than that there are many other equipment and things you cannot take it with you, which can harm you and other passengers in your hand luggage.  Here are some weird things you never expected
.
  1. More than one Cigaret lighter
Yap carrying more than one lighter considered as a harmful object for you and other passengers so you are not allowed to pack and take it with you in your hand luggage.
2. Peroxide
images-2
Everybody knows toxic substances and chemicals banned in side airports. You cannot enter an airport with these. The most common peroxide we use is Hydrogen peroxide to clean wounds, bleaching hair. Unfortunately this falls in to Chemicals and Toxic Substances so dye your hair and go if not you will have to buy your own on holiday.
3. Paint
Unknown
This is something Art students do not like to hear… if you are planning on painting beautiful places and take it home with you as a souvenir then you will have to shop for paint once you land. These paints are considered as dangerous chemicals so pray that these possessions pass aviation security.
4. Snow Globes
images
Saved the best for the last.… Yap you cannot take snow globes. Its one of the most common but favourite souvenir we all love to buy.  Do not panic and throw all the snow globes in your home as there is nothing dangerous about it. There is no toxic in side. But these can be confiscated by airport security and clearance.
They won’t allow you to take simply because it exceed the 100 ml limit.
Plan well and prepare your self for the holiday to avoid any hiccups. Make sure to contact and check your flight times with the airline. Call or email the hotel and confirm the availability of your rooms and inform them if your flight is delay or coming early. Prebook your airport parking in advance to save more money and to guarantee your space.

Recheck your luggage for the above products and leave them all behind. Who wants to go back home or stuck and their aport when you can’t wait to begin your holiday? Don't waste any more time looking for airport parking. Prebook your airport parking with Merry Parking!

How to Safe Your Money while Traveling

When you are planning your next romantic getaway with your significant other or your annual family trip… losing your cash, credit cards is an incident you do not want to happen at any cost. That’s the worst nightmare for any traveller.
Losing your wallet in your own country or your town is not a bad place to be in compare to losing your passport, hotel keys, luggage key, cash, credit cards, traveller’s cheques in another unfamiliar country. It’s a hassle and with today’s new technology, you will be able to arrange all. But isn’t it good to have a plan B, to avoid the worst case scenarios?
Here are some ways you could get prepared for a nightmare….

Do not take any chances when exchanging money…

Yes, you may get a better currency exchange rate if you go to one of these black market money exchange counters.. But that could also lead in to the nightmare we all want to avoid. If you are landing in the country during night time, then bring some currency from home. So you can avoid changing money at night. Good to change from a bank or an official bureau in well crowded area. Or if you can change at the hotel you stay.

Traveller’ cheques

It’s not the most popular method nowadays but it’s very safe.  You lost it or stolen traveller’s cheques can be easily replaced.  It’s still accepted by many banks and bureaus. All you need to do is keep the issue numbers written or stored may be in your travel journal or in a note book inside your luggage. Definitely not along with the traveller’s cheques or thin the wallet. I would say the best thing to do is to have these issue numbers, the receipt email to an email account, which you can access when you travel overseas.

Do not be predictable

download (1)
Where would you keep your cash? Wallet! Think out of the box. Don’t stack all your cash in the wallet. Keep some money in a hidden pocket of your luggage or bag. If the hotel provides you safe then use it and keep excess money there. Don’t take all the money with you. If you are travelling with someone then distribute the cash among them. This way you will always have money even if your bag gets stolen.

Use your credit or your ATM card

download
Most of us keep these back at home. You can always purchase using your credit cards. You can always withdraw money from the ATMs if your card and the bank offers the service outside your country. You may have to pay a fee for that but it’s a good back up. However like all the other valuables you need to safe guard it. Take a copy of the card, PIN and other numbers in your phone or email it.

Is Park and Ride Airport Parking declining?

When it comes to airport parking Park and Ride was the only option other than the on-site airport parking some time back. After the Meet and Greet concept introduced more and more people started choosing this service over Park & Ride, simply for the convenience and didn’t mind paying extra. The Park & Ride service not very popular now so less car parks operate this service. Here are the airports you can find park & rideLiverpool Airport ParkingSouthend Airport Parking, and Stansted Airport Parking
Not heard of Park and Ride before?
It’s simple as this…
You drive to the car park and then take a shuttle to the airport which is provided by the car park.
When you book your airport parking online or over the phone, you give an approximate time of drop-off and pick-up time. Even though the car parks have these timings, still you may have to contact them prior to arrive at the car park. If so please call as they may need to arrange a staff member to do the paper work and help you par the vehicle.
Once the paper work is done, hop in to the shuttle and take the ride to the airport terminal. Depends on the car park you book, there can be a charge for the shuttle ride. On your way back from your trip, you need to contact the car park to get the shuttle so you can go back to the car park to collect your vehicle.
If the car park has the facility to wash and wax your vehicle, you can do so by paying an extra amount.
Visit our Park and Ride page to get more information… https://www.merryparking.co.uk/park-and-ride
Tips
> What are the times, shuttle available?
Not all the car parks run the shuttle service on demand. Some have standard times such as every 10. 15, 20 or 30 minutes they operate. If so you need to plan your parking having plenty of time to catch your flight.
> Do I have to pay for the shuttle ride?
Some car parks do not charge a separate fee for the shuttle as its free or that fee is already include in the parking fee. If not you will have to pay for the shuttle. The fee may vary from £1 to £ 3 per person and this could be per ride or both ways. It depends on the car park provider’s terms and conditions. You may not have enough change especially when you come back from your trip so it’s always better to keep enough change in the vehicle at least you can pay once you come back from the airport to collect your vehicle.
> Instructions prior to arrive at the car park
Even-though you enter your approximate drop off and pick up times at the time of booking, some car parks will want you to contact them may be 10 or 20 minutes prior to arrive at the car park. If they requested please note the number and call the car park. This could be that they have to allocate a person to may be, open the gates (if its secured car park you cannot enter as you please) or park the vehicle or do the paperwork.
> Need to leave the keys with the car park or not
Since its park and ride most of people think after parking the vehicle, you can take the car keys with you. Some car parks will still want you to keep the keys with them. In case of an emergency they need to move your vehicle or they need to park the vehicles according to day/time of pick up. Therefore, if you do not want to leave the keys with the car park, check whether it’s required or not.
Advantages of booking Park and Ride?
  • You will get to see where your vehicle is parked. You can check whether the car park has all the security measures they advertised are in place or not.
  • Compare to Meet and greet the park and ride option is always cheap!
