Unknown Airline Rules You Should Be Aware Of

There are three Golden Rules which should be in every Travel Book.  You should also be aware of these as it can help you in many ways.
Most of the airlines are very helpful and accommodating when ever passengers are in difficult situations.
Some these rules are not official so will not be able to see in Terms & Conditions. However, a smile and a calm voice can persuade the airline staff to be bit lenient and bend the rules.  These are not known and airlines staff will not acknowledge unless you bring them up. Simply because many passengers will misuse.
check in counter

THE TRIP-IN-VAIN RULE

In case you misses the trip and lost the purpose of being at a destination because of a fault the airline “The Trip In Vain” rule apply.  Passenger/passengers are entitled to compensation or the airline is responsible for alternative solution.
Regardless whether it’s a business trip or a holiday this rule is applicable. It can be a conference or a business meeting. Perhaps you wanted to be in a place to which has a significant for you, example celebrate a birthday or an anniversary.

THE MOST DIRECT ROUTEING RULE

Let’s say that the pilot has to re-route due to a mechanical issue or some other problem, you can ask the airline for a direct routeing. Rather than going through many transit to your destination. Airlines may not volunteer this information as they would offer the most cheapest option however, you are entitle for direct flight.

THE FLAT TIRE RULE

This is an unofficial policy so you need to work on some charm with the staff at Check-in counters. They have the flexibility to accommodate passengers who miss the flight because they could not be on time. Ex: Got a flat tire or traffic due to roadblock.
As you can see this cannot be an official rule because passengers will use this every time they late to arrive at the airport.

The Best Alternative for Luton Airport Parking

Your Family holiday this Christmas season is fast approaching. Probably you would have bought a set of new luggage, and latest travel gad-jets. All set to catch your flight, but you still have one final problem to solve. Should you go to Luton Airport Parking and Park your vehicle in the Short stay or long stay car park? It sounds like the best solution isn’t it? Think again. Explore the other transport options available.  You to make it to your flight on time without burning whole in your pocket.

LUTON AIRPORT CARPARKING

Let’s begin with the obvious. Aren’t you  happy to load up the car with the new luggages, hit the M1 or M25. Then park at Luton airport it self. Sounds easy enough! but where are you going to park? Short stay or long stay and where exactly.. If you choose the Long stay then you need to wait for the shuttle bus to take you to the arrival terminal. So Short stay it is! But are you qualified for the short stay? and are you ready to pay £ 49 for each day?  Ok then Long stay it is! Free shuttle runs every 15 minutes and it take another 10 minutes to the terminal (depending on traffic) and £ 23 for each day! It is a bewildering selection.
The option that comes to mind when we think of Luton airport car parking is the long-stay option. Compare the per day charge you opted for the less price. However be prepared to drive around for ages looking for a vacant space. It could be very frustrating to haul your luggage to the shuttle in and out. You will ended up paying roughly £ 190 for a week. Parking closer to the terminal is easy as it’s just few minutes walk to the check in desk. The price tag you are looking is approximately £ 390 per week. Phew!

PUBLIC TRANSPORT & OTHER OPTIONS

If you do not want to drive to the airport, well there are other options for that as well. A taxi from your home to Luton airport. You can prebook your taxi and for a family of 4 it will cost roughly £ 85 (one way) from Northamptonshire without any luggages. Price vary on the number of luggages you take. Alternatively, you could take an Uber. Every country it operates, they manage to acquire a large market share. But the longevity of the company is in question. Recently Uber lost the license to operate in London.
If taxi is out then you still let the train take the strain. You have to make to your local train station before enjoying the crowded trains. If you are lucky it will be a short walk if not its another taxi ride to your station. You may have to change trains and navigate platforms with luggage. Don’t forget the stairs, escalators. You have to allow time for the shuttle bus transfer if you get down at Luton Airport Parkway. If not another taxi from your station to the airport.

LUTON AIRPORT PARKING WITH MERRY PARKING

As you can see, the above options are a perfect blend of high-costs or backbreaking luggage hauling. The alternative is driving your own car and choosing a car park with Merry Parking. We feature a range of affordable parking options that include many added benefits . Choose from Luton Premium Valet, or Terminal Parking – Luton, or Super Saver Luton where you drive in, hand the keys over at the terminal it self. Driver park it for you and bring the vehicle back to the terminal.. Our cheapest option which is the Super Saver – Luton is £ 34 for a week! Subscribe to our newsletter or be part of our member club. Either way you can save more. Not only we offer cheap airport parking at Luton.
All Luton airport parking options come with the 24/7 staffed and security monitored facility which is open 365 days a year. No hauling luggage , no waiting for shuttle buses, no need to look for a parking space. Just drive to the terminal and walk to the checking counter.

HEATHROW AIRPORT’S CHEAPEST CAR PARKING

Looking for the best deal on a car parking Space at Heathrow Airport? There are many comparison websites and car parks. So how do you know which one offers the best rates for Heathrow Airport Parking. Also how to check whether they will take a good care of your vehicle.
Before choosing a car park, first you have to decide whether you are going to park at Heathrow Airport itself or an off site car park. Off site car parks have two options one is the Park and ride which offers the shuttle service. The other service is the Meet and Greet.

Heathrow-airport-parking

OFF-SITE PARKING

Off-site parking is normally less than half the price of the official airport long-term car park.
Prices vary from one car park to the other and the duration.
Do not be in hurry and book if you see an add which offers a cheaper rate for 2 days. It does not mean it is cheaper on other days. Always do your research and find the cost for the number of days you need parking. Compare the airport parking on before you confirm.
Even if one car park is the cheapest for a two days stay, it doesn’t mean it’ll also be the cheapest for a week-long stay – always do your research. Go till the last page and see whether there are any surcharges. Sometimes car parks include the airport access fee in the price and some do not. There are other charges as well, card fee, Booking fees, commissions, Shuttle bus fee. Therefore check the rates  by going to the payment page to see the final cost.
Most off-site car parks provide undercover parking at an extra charge. This may save you some money on a car wash if the car park is in a muddy ground.
Some might offer advance payment discounts, it’s best to check the cancellation policy – some car parks or products may provide full or partial refunds if you give them enough notice. Read the cancelation policy  of the product/car park before you confirm. If there is a cancellation cover, get this. usually its no more than £2.
You’ll also have to leave your car key with most off-site car parks. Specially if you choose meet and greet as the driver has to take the car out of the airport.

HEATHROW AIRPORT PARKING

If you really look for the convenience of parking at the airport, then try to pre book your space than looking for a available slot on the day. You may even get a discount for booking in advance.
Airport charges for parking depending on the time of drop off and pick up. If you see less rate for a specific days check again entering your times to see whether you get the same rate.
Unlike the off site car parks, the shuttle bus do not run on demand. There are fix times so check the time table of this before you book so you have plenty of time to catch your flight.
Compare the rates to what you’d pay for Heathrow Airport parking, and you can see why people make the effort to park elsewhere on their travels.

HOW TO PREVENTING YOURSELF FROM LOSING YOUR LUGGAGE

Everyone body travel wither its holiday in overseas, road trip with your friends or just a friendly visit to your relatives who lives far away.
Its fun, adventures and even relaxing.
However it’s a disaster if you loose your possessions specially when you travel abroad. You may be in a city where you have not flown before and would have packed all the essentials and comforts you need in this new destination.
Let’s see how we can avoid missing or stolen luggage when you travel abroad.
Be at the airport having ample of time to check in
Do not assume how busy the departure terminal is, be there at least couple of hours prior to departure time.  Then the baggage handlers have plenty of time to load your baggages to your flight and less mistakes would happen when they do not need to rush.
When you try to check in at the last minute you tend to misplace your belongings specially when you carry more than 2 luggages.
Take some photos of your luggage.
Once you pack your luggage take some photos of those and make sure you email those images to you or to a friend. In case if you loose your phone along with the luggage you can always access the emails to retrieve the images of your missing or stolen luggage. This could be crucial evidence if someone has stolen your luggage and claiming them as theirs.
Also its much easier to show the photos than describing it to the airport staff to find it and bring them back to you.
Remove old Tags and stickers
When you are taking a luggage to the airport make sure you remove all the old tags and stickers pasted by the airlines of your previous trip. If not there is a chance that these old tags can confuse airport staff, and sending the bags to a different airline. You do not want the luggage to be in Berlin when you are flying to Rome.
List everything that is inside your luggage.
Make a list of every single thing that is inside your luggage, however small or big they may be. The airline may ask for some proof when your luggage goes missing, and having a list of the stuff in there to prove that the luggage is yours can save you a lot of time and effort.
Personalized your luggage
It may be not easy to purchase a very unique and distinguished luggage unless you go for a tailor made or a limited edition collection. Therefore try as much as possible to give a distinct look which can be easily recognizable by you among many badges in the belt.
This will eliminate the possibilities of someone else collecting your baggage assuming its theirs.
Get luggage insurance.
If you wish you can pay the extra fee and get the luggage insurance.
When you are check-in request the airline staff to insure your belongings and follow the steps they ask you to do.
If you travel quite often then have a scale at your home to weigh the baggage so you know that there is no excess baggage. If you are willing to pay for the extra weight then no problem. If not you can put all the extras in your own car rather than throwing out. Book your airport parking with Merry Parking and drive to the airport in your own vehicle.
